The Tax Map Department reviews surveys in accordance with the Geauga County Conveyance Standards as well as updates and maintains Geauga County Tax Maps.

Conveyance Transfer & Recordation Reference Guide

This reference guide outlines the process for conveyance transfer and recordation when electronic recording (eRecording) is not used. All submissions must comply with the Ohio Revised Code (ORC), Ohio Administrative Code (OAC), and Geauga County Conveyance Standards.

Department Responsibilities

  • Survey reviews (descriptions and plat maps) in accordance with Geauga County Conveyance Standards
  • Land Contract reviews
  • Assigns Addresses
  • Updates and Maintains Geauga County Tax Maps
  • Assists public with historical Tax Maps and surveys database
